A network switch connects devices in a network to each other, enabling
them to talk by exchanging data packets. Switches can be hardware
devices that manage physical networks or software-based virtual devices.
A network switch operates on the data-link layer, or Layer 2, of the
Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model. In a local area network (LAN)
using Ethernet, a network switch determines where to send each incoming
message frame by looking at the media access control (MAC) address.
Switches maintain tables that match each MAC address to the port
receiving the MAC address.
L2 SWITCHES
With the trend of high speed Ethernet, 10/40/100Gbps, Racomm switches
offer a complete set of advanced software features that will easily
satisfy the demands of enterprises and SMBs everywhere. With cost
effective, high performance security switching, users are able to
discover the benefits of a high-port density, reliable and superior
performance enterprise network. Racomm providing high quality, advanced
features but cost effective Access/Aggregation solution for ISP, MSO
worldwide, helping service provider building up Fibre to the Building
(FTTB), Fibre to the Home (FTTH) infrastructure for Broadband Access
services.
L3 SWITCHES
The L3 switch is ideal for service provider edge aggregation, enterprise
wiring closets, data centre aggregation, and network core deployment.
These switches bring a high level of security and traffic control to the
edge of your network. They provide high performance, resilient stacking,
wire speed Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing, comprehensive QoS, and
advanced security to deliver the scalability and resiliency to increase
your company's productivity while reducing operation costs.
INDUSTRIAL SWITCHES
Racomm Provides managed industrial Gigabit Ethernet switches for
upgrading the existing Fast Ethernet network infrastructure to full
Gigabit speed. Gigabit Ethernet networks provide a higher bandwidth than
the legacy Fast Ethernet networks and reduces the response time for
time-sensitive applications
CORE SWITCHES
These network switches form the backbone of the network. Core switches
connect aggregation or edge switches, users or device edge networks to
data centre networks and enterprise LANs to routers.
ACCESS SWITCHES
These switches manage traffic either coming into or exiting the network.
Devices like computers and APs connect to edge switches.
AGGREGATION OR DESTRIBUTION SWITCHES
These switches are placed within an optional middle layer in a network
topology. Edge switches connect into these and send traffic from switch
to switch or send it up to core switches.
Network Switches Configuration :
1. RA-9300 series is a three-layer management switch (supporting POE
function) with 24X10 / 100 / 1000 Base-T Ethernet ports and 4X10,000
gigabit SFP + light ports. Each RJ 45 port supports MDI / MDIX
automatic flipping and line speed forwarding function. Port 1-24 can
support POE power supply, follow the IEEE802.3af/at standard, can be
used as an Ethernet power supply equipment, can automatically detect
and identify the power receiving equipment that meets the standard,
and supply it through the network cable. Adopt storage and
forwarding mode, combined with QoS technology, to ensure that the
bandwidth is effectively allocated to each port, providing stable
and reliable power supply and data transmission for security
monitoring equipment such as high-power AP, network camera, PTZ
network ball machine, and PoE lighting.
2. The Racomm RA-I-3303 series switch is a network management industry
Ethernet switch, which meets the FCC, CE, and ROHS standards.
Support 8 PoE/PoE+ Ports and 2 SFP ports, support the Ethernet
Layer-two protocol required for the industrial site to ensure the
stability of the communication network; this series of switches use
low power consumption and fanless design to ensure no noise
interference. At the same time, it supports-40 ~ 85 ° C working
temperature and good EMC electromagnetic compatibility performance
to ensure stable work in the harsh industrial environment, and form
a fast and stable network terminal connection for factory
automation, intelligent transportation, video surveillance and other
industrial applications. Provide safe and reliable solutions in the
network.
3. This Racomm RA-9300 series switch is a Layer 3 management switch
with 24 Gigabit SFP optical ports, 8 ports combo 1 Gigabit
10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet Ports Port, 4 SFP+ port. Complete
security protection mechanisms, perfect ACL/QOS strategies and rich
VLAN functions are easy to manage and maintain, and meet users' easy
-to -managed high security, and low -cost networking needs for
users.
4. The Racomm RA-I2-3300 series is a Layer 2 managed Industrial grade
switch (supporting PoE function) independently. It has 8
10/100/1000Mbps auto-adaptive PoE ports and 4 SFP Gigabit optical
mouth. Each RJ45 port supports MDI/MDIX auto-flip and wire-speed
forwarding. Among them, ports 1-8 can support PoE power supply,
follow the IEEE802.3af/at standard, and can be used as a power
supply device over Ethernet. The storage and forwarding method,
combined with QoS technology, ensures that the bandwidth is
effectively allocated to each port, providing stable and reliable
power supply and data transmission for high-power APs, network
cameras, PTZ network domes, PoE lighting and other security
monitoring equipment.
